Our favourite Aussie skate label and some of the best crew kicking around Auckland, Arcade, have teamed up to bring us their tribute to the ANZACs. Putting aside the Aussie-Kiwi rivalries they remind us of what our boys sacrificed so that we might all enjoy the full benefits of living in such great countries. The ANZAC tee is currently available in navy and black, alongside a bunch of other new Pass-Port tees which are bound to remind you what you love about being an Aussie!
Reading is a good past time. It broadens your intellectual horizons and makes you more attractive to the opposite sex. Luckily there are still some things in the world worth reading, and I don’t just mean this paragraph. Acclaim Magazine is a rad, highly informative, picture filled magazine containing only the things you need to know about. Issue #26 has just arrived. With it’s special cover by Dust La Rock you should ignore everything you have learned up to this point and judge its quality on that.
If there’s one thing that our pals from AIAIAI like to do, then that is to party. They will be throwing a big party this Friday at the Order of Melbourne as a conclusion to the Field Trip creative conference. It’s set to be a banger, so make sure to pop on up on Friday and see what all the fuss is about. In the mean time hit up the Facebook page here for all the important details.

Staying true to their 1980’s love affair Super Awesome are calling out to Victorian & local Surf Coast residents to clear out their garage like they did in ’87 and bring their old unwanted surf and skate stuff down to the pub and sell it.

By now I must have lost count of how many times I’ll be out in the yard chopping wood with my axe to retire to the drawing room, taking a seat in front of the fire in my large leather lounge chair. It is a good way to spend an evening, that is true. However, it does bring life to my winter quandary. That is, what can I wear that is both manly and sturdy enough to do some wood chopping in, yet stylish and comfortable enough to recline into my chair for an evening of deep contemplation, whiskey drinking and pipe smoking? The Lab can provide the answer this winter, Carhartt. We have just received a whole big delivery of pants, jackets, knits, shirts, tees and other good things. There are too many things to list, so a visit to The Lab might be just what you need. Thankfully with that mystery solved we can spend those long winter evening contemplating the worlds other mysteries.
The warmth in the air is dwindling, the sun is going down earlier and soon the trees with shed their leaves for their winter slumber. Autumn is a magical time of year. Mr Simple has stepped it up once again with his first drop of autumn gear. We have a whole bunch of super nice shirts, the Marshall Track Jacket has been revamped and is back better than ever. This season also sees the introduction of the Hampden Parka and the Ascot Knit. So drop the marshmallows in the cocoa, fall into that beanbag and stoke the fire, it’s going to be a long winter.
Herschel’s spring 2012 lookbook contained some nice pictures. Now, through the magic of film, Herschel have created a moving picture version of said lookbook, and here it is! I’m never too sure whether or not to believe people in shops when they say “Oh yeh, I’ve got that one, it’s great.” Do they really have one, or is this just some elaborate ploy to make me feel that if I buy one I’ll be cool like them? I suppose we’ll never know, such are the mysteries of the universe. In an effort to combat this phenomenon I commanded that our staff photographer, Nick, take a picture of the things that were in my pockets or lurking in the bottom of my bag. So here it is, a selection of my favourites which I embrace each and every day in an effort to improve life… I think it’s working.
